Here is my first Pinterest posting attempt. I was lucky enough to have a wedding shower this weekend for Emily Cole who is marrying my cousin, Miles Greenwald. Their story is a fairy tale and quite adorable. They will be moving to their first home from their college dorm rooms so we wanted to decorate their new home.
1. Purchase frames from a discount store (Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx, Michaels, etc)
2. For each frame come up with a theme for guests to write advice to the bride. Here are some that we did...Favorite memory of Miles (all guests were family of groom), making love last, something to do every single day, how to keep Christ in your marriage, honeymoon advice, advice on becoming a Nichols or Greenwald (two families in attendance).
3. Guests coming to the shower write on cards with each frame (see below)
4. The frames are given to the bride to decorate her new home. The bride replaces the "advice" with pictures but can always keep the reminders of love and her wedding shower as she changes pictures throughout the years.
This is the "How to make love last" frame with advice from guests.
This is the "What you should do each day together" frame
A picture of all the guests..from young cousin Cate to Great Aunt Ruth and Great Aunt Mary...we had a fabulous party and are very excited for Emily to join the Greenwald (and Nichols) family.
