New playset! WOO HOO!

WeeeeeEEEEEE! I love my new playset!

Daddy and the neighbor worked all day on Saturday and then Cate and Charlie helped a bit with the finishing touches on Sunday...quite the helpers!

At first, Cate wasn't too excited about going up to the top. She said, "Daddy, I really love it but it scares me a little." By the end of the day she was taking orders from the little bar/picnic set. The "special" of the day was broccoli and apple/strawberry juice. Charlie needs to learn to walk now to enjoy this new big toy...for now he is just content (and a bit obsessed) with opening and closing the door.

Charlie clapped the entire time and cheered. Cate and Sophia collected beads and a bit of candy with Shamrock shakes afterwards. The big fun came at a "girls store" (Kohls) stop on the way home for shoe shopping for the girls...oh my!

1st family golf outing

The weather here has been GORGEOUS for March. 5 straight days of record breaking temps in the 80s! We left work a bit early on Friday and picked up the kids from daycare in the golf cart. We headed to the course to play a few holes together.

Speedy Chip! Charlie is quite possibly the fastest crawler ever! He loved scooting across the greens. Check out the drool on this kid...cute outfit courtesy his new friend Cole Christensen!

According to Charlie, the best part was the popcorn! Yes, I know, not safe for a one year old kiddo, but we couldn't keep this stuff away from him. He totally loved it!

We have had a lot of fun celebrating Charlie's 1st birthday in the last week. He has had MANY parties, so many that Cate keeps asking "Is Charlie's birthday over yet?" We had several small impromptu parties with family.

Party with Carter and Cate. Dinner was Charlie's favorites--meatballs, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and cupcake cones--YUMMY! Charlie thinks that his big brother is quite possibly the coolest guy in the world (who doesn't?) and tries his very best to keep up with Cate.

Mason City impromtu party was loads of fun with Cate and cousins Jesse, TJ, Emily and Tim.

Becker party with Craig Alan and Colton. Hickory Park and ice cream cones since Charlie's birthday is close to Papa's and Uncle John. We enjoyed having Papa and Grandma Jane her to celebrate their anniversary and Crystal/Ben and John/Abby to celebrate.

It really is hard to believe that our baby is one year old. He brings such joy to our lives with his smile and fun personality. We love our sweet little boy.
