Happy Birthday, Carter!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CARTER!

We are really glad that Carter is still close to home and wanted to hang out with us on his 19th birthday. We all went to Texas Roadhouse. Charlie is sporting his bib that says "Carter's Future Caddie" in this picture. The deal at the restaurant is if it is your birthday you have to ride on the saddle. Carter let Catie join him and she LOVED it. We are hoping Carter's 19th year is the best yet! He celebrated earlier in the month with a trip to Pinehurst, NC with his Dad. Even though it was cold, they had a really great time.

Bath time!

Bath time at the Trewet house! Charlie absolutely loves taking a bath. He is going to really love the pool this summer. Cate asked today if we could go to the pool--well it is 60 degrees on January 31st, but, no, we can't go to the pool so a bath will have to do.

First night of dance

Cate had her first night of dance tonight. "Twinkle Toes" is a 4 week class through Ankeny Park and Recreation. It was about the cutest thing I have ever seen. :) She learned first position, second position and did an "animal dance" with her teacher Miss Natalie.

I can't believe our baby girl started dance!!! Next thing we know she will be all grown up...

Charlie can crawl VERY fast. He is pulling himself up all the time but hasn't quite figured out how to walk around. Here he is in this picture with his rocking horse from Santa. The red sweater he is wearing was made for Carter by Great Grandma Chance (aka Gigi). Matt saved it all these years--it fits Charlie perfect right now!

Fun holidays

Our best gift in 2011 was Charlie! Amazing how fast the year has gone and how our little man has come into our lives and Cate has grown up so much. We enjoyed an absolutely wonderful holiday with our families.

I got a new camera for my birthday from Trewets--unfortunately after this picture the battery was dead and I didn't have the charger! :(

Becker Christmas! Here Cate is with the log we gave Mom and Dad. Papa gave Cate some John Deere shirts ("My First Love" with a tractor on it) and Charlie got his first tractors. Mom got fun toys for the kids including reading books that Cate loves but their biggest gift is a new playhouse/swing set! We are so excited to get it in our backyard this spring. Matt got a new king bed since his preference is that all 3 kids are in bed with him on any given Saturday.
