It was pumpkin carving night at the Trewet house. Carter drew the Tiger Hawk freehand! Cate learned the word "gross" when she touched the inside of her pumpkin with her Daddy.

Since Daddy was out of town at the race this weekend we went to the Cyclone football game with Grandma Jane and the Nichols clan. We didn't stay for the entire game but just enough time for Cate to have a ton of fun! The funniest thing that she did was when she heard the entire crowd "boo" she thought they were "moo"ing so started to "moo!" It was hilarious!

We have had a VERY exciting year for the Ankeny Hawks Golf Team! Here is a picture of from last week of our CONFERENCE CHAMPS! Carter is the only senior on the team and has been the leader of this team through the season. They are currently ranked #2 in the state. We are very excited for districts and hopefully state next week.

Putting to a victory...Carter only had 11 putts while he received medalist honors in the Dowling meet. Unfortunately, the meet was Ankeny's only dual loss. 
Quite the swing! The coach from Wartburg was watching Carter at Marshalltown. He was 1 under through the first 9 holes that the coach watched!
Ankeny's best team score of the year--very impressive! Unfortunately, somehow they still lost this meet but have won almost every other invitational this year. 
Last weekend I went to the store and came home to find this! Cate had demanded that she switch the clothes she was wearing with Winnie the Pooh. She stayed like this for hours...it is amazing what happens with this girl is left with her dad!

There was lots of dancing. The best dance was the impersonation by John of Grandma Jane stopping a pig at the County Fair.
For our 5th Anniversary, I surprised Matt with tickets to Jimmy Buffett in Chicago with our great friends Eric and Missy. WE HAD A BLAST! The concert was somewhat an afterthought really, because the tailgating/pre-concert was unbelievable. A really great weekend to celebrate how much we still like each other after being married for 5 years.
Daddy, will you please buy me a boat?
